The Law of Harmlessness

Do No Harm

The soul’s growth is increased greatly or hindered deeply by the effect of the Law of Harmlessness. The term Ahimsa is the Sanskrit name for this teaching. This law states that the intention to harm another, in whatever form, causes a loss within the self. The commission to “love your enemies” was intended to bring the result that, from the soul’s point of view, there are no enemies to harm. Usually, the more evolved a soul is, the greater the degree of harmlessness it presents to other life forms around it. Perfect harmlessness requires a purity of mind, soul, and body that is impossible to attain without consistently centering the consciousness on the higher self. As ever, we must practice wisdom steadfastly and keep in mind the teachings of the Law of Self-Preservation.
